«To be» or «to feel like»?
«I want to feel like my life was not lived in vain.» — Perhaps you should aim for your life «to be worthwhile»?
«I want to feel like I am important to you.» — Or, maybe, you'd prefer «to be important» to me?
«I want to feel like I'm doing the right thing.» — Probably, because it's easier than «to be doing» the right thing?
«I want to feel like I am a good person.» — Well, you got the idea ;-)
