Commitments are wounds
Making a commitment — is like incurring a cut wound, leaving it unstitched and then regularly disturbing it's whereabouts. It takes will and resolution to keep going through the pain.
A clean decision not to commit — is like putting a stich on that wound. It hurts in the moment more, but it stops the bleeding.
And doing neither of the two above — equates to just leaving the wound be. Probably it'll heal on it's own, after some time. But get enough of those — and you will drain to death.
