New one or good one?
It's pretty obvious, that contemporary manufacturing is focused on making things that are constantly renewed, rather than ones that are durable.
To me, nowhere it is more obvious, than in the smart-phone production.
Let's talk physical build quality. I remember days of push-button cellphones, which you had to try REALLY hard to break (☝️including screen cracks).
So, you meaning to tell me that with all this hardened glass technologies and with all the, pretty smart, people working for manufacturers, the way to reduce screen cracking cases still was not found? Solution I needed about 10 seconds to come up with: make protuberant rim around the screen (1-2 mm will do), industry standard.
